What happens if the suit gets to me and doesn't fit?
We offer every suit buyer a £25 alteration guarantee. We will also search for your local alteration specialist.
How do I know what the fabric feels like?
All of our fabrics are wool/cashmere or wool/cashmere/silk composites so that you don't have to worry. If you want to book an appointment to come in and feel the fabric then we would be more than happy to accommodate you.
Why do you only have one price for suits?
We decided to have one set price so that you don't need to worry about getting something that is not top quality. Each of our fabrics, designs and linings are of similarly high value and its down to your personal opinion rather than differing quality. As discerning customers we know that you don't want something of low quality and we don't want you walking around with a Head & Griffiths suit which we don't think matches the standards we have set.
Why choose the designers you have?
We feel our designers have intuitive, stylish and contemporary designs that will be big in the coming season. We search the country and review lots of designers with trend prediction and fashion experts. We want to give young designers the chance to show off their ability in what is otherwise a very competitive industry.
How is my suit made?
Your suit is hand made by a dedicated team of specialists specifically for you. They hand stitch and finish each suit with precision to make sure that its up to the high standards that you expect from Head & Griffiths. Each suit goes through multiple stages of quality control to make sure that your suit is perfect.
What design should I go for?
We offer a varied choice of designs so that you can be sure to find something which is of your taste. However, each suit effectively works as a guideline and can easily be altered by contacting us. Some suits are more suitable for when in the office, where as some jackets are much more appropriate for when out socialising with colleagues or friends. If you’re looking for a suit to wear to work, perhaps choose a more classic suit. If you're looking for a jacket for a particular special occasion, then maybe one of our designer suits is more suitable.
Which cloths should I choose?
This is very much a matter of opinion. We have plain, pinstripe, birdseye, check and herringbone cloths. At Head & Griffiths we are always more than happy to go through our cloths with you if you book an appointment with us.
What happens if the suit comes and I'm not 100% happy with it?
In the unfortunate circumstance that you are not completely happy with your suit then we will try and resolve the situation in the best way possible. This could be by altering the suit with the £25 alteration guarantee that is provided. If there is a problem with the quality of the suit production then we take full responsibility and do whatever it takes to make sure that suitable corrections are made. One option could be to offer you a discount on your next purchase. If problems with your suit are due to the measurements we have taken, then we will look at the way the problems can be amended through our alterations specialist. If the suit has problems caused by measurements you have submitted, then we can offer support in finding suitable alteration specialists in your local area and recommending the best way for the suit to be corrected.
What is your returns policy?
Our returns policy is that if you’re not happy and we cannot help to amend the suit to your requirements then we will offer your money back. For more information check out our terms and conditions.

Why choose a bespoke suit over one off-the-peg?
The main reason to buy bespoke clothes is that they are one off items that are just for you. It gives you the ability to inject your own personality into your clothes. If you often struggle to find clothes that fit you correctly, then going bespoke is a wise choice for you. For more information regarding this look at our 'Why choose Head & Griffiths?' section.
Do you make waistcoats?
We do make waistcoats however our waistcoat range is currently under development. If you book a fitting with us then this is something we can look at in more detail. If you specifically want a waistcoat for your online order then make it clear in the additional information box and we will contact you directly.
What is the best way to look after the suit?
There are a couple of things you can do to make sure that your suit is kept in the best condition. Firstly, when you have finished wearing it for the day, make sure to place it on a suit hanger. This will mean that the shoulders of the jacket keep their shape. Fold the trousers along the the pressed crease. Protecting your suit with a suit cover will help to keep the cloth at its best. Dry cleaning is important and should be done once a month depending on how much you wear it. It is highly recommended that you don't keep pens in the suit pocket as leaks could be the end of a nice garment.
Is there a charge to book an appointment?
We do not charge for our fitting appointments but if you are based outside of the East Midlands then we may look at travel expenses. However, we will look at each appointment individually.
Is it possible for me to customise my suit?

Do you offer discounts for large orders?

How do I measure myself?
The best way to measure yourself is to follow our online system closely. Some of the measurements are difficult with one person and this is why we recommend that you ask someone to help you. We have designed the step-by-step guide to be clear and simple to use as if we were there taking the measurements for you. You can contact us at any time if you have any questions or queries.
If you have any other questions that you think should be on here then please let us know and we can update this for you.
